Grants Program
The Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation makes grants to program-related, non-profit research institutions to promote research in chemistry and the life sciences, broadly interpreted, and particularly to foster the invention of methods, instruments, and materials that will open up new avenues of research in science. The Foundation does not consider proposals that fall outside of these programs.
Beckman Scholars Program
RECOGNIZING OUTSTANDING UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH STUDENTS IN CHEMISTRY AND BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES
Established in 1997, The Beckman Scholars Program is an invited program for accredited universities and four-year colleges in the United States. It provides scholarships that contribute significantly in advancing the education, research training and personal development of select students in chemistry, biochemistry, and the biological and medical sciences. The sustained, in-depth undergraduate research experiences and comprehensive faculty mentoring are unique in terms of program scope, content and level of scholarship awards ($19,300 for two summers and one academic year).

STATEMENT OF RESEARCH GRANT POLICY & PROCEDURES FOR THE BECKMAN YOUNG INVESTIGATORS PROGRAM
The Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation makes grants to non-profit research institutions to promote research in chemistry and the life sciences, broadly interpreted, and particularly to foster the invention of methods, instruments and materials that will open up new avenues of research in science. The Beckman Young Investigators (BYI) Program is intended to provide research support to the most promising young faculty members in the early stages of academic careers in the chemical and life sciences.
