Help students gain a basic understanding about living things as they observe, touch, hold, and care for various plants and animals. Activities include planting seeds and recording plant growth, constructing aquaria and terraria for the living organisms, and comparing the habitats in terms of organism needs, behavior, and changes.

Part of the Science and Technology for Children® curriculum, this unit is aligned with the National Science Education Standards and offers complete hands-on instruction. Unit Kit comes with a Teacher's Guide and the materials (including a coupon for prepaid delivery of the living organisms) needed for a class of 30 students to complete the unit in about 8 weeks.
