It all begins here, with quality science curricula that have been developed through years of research and evaluation and carefully adapted to the way children learn. Unlike traditional textbook teaching this initiative encourages elementary-grade children to explore and interact with the fascinating world around them - to more fully experience the wonders of its everyday workings and to develop deep understanding of fundamental science concepts.
By posing questions that pique their natural curiosity -- such as "What happens if you hold a magnet near a paper clip?," "Can you light up three bulbs with just one battery?," and "Is it possible to make a plant grow sideways?" - teachers can encourage a deeper level of thinking and promote effective problem-solving skills.

After all, asking the right question at the right time is not only the basis of the teaching approach of Beckman@Science, but is the foundation of all scientific investigation.
Everything a teacher needs to teach a particular topic is included in kits called:
Beckman Discovery Boxes
Multiple lessons within each unit progressively lead students to greater and greater depths of understanding on a given topic. Grade-specific units cover the areas of life science, physical science, earth science and technology. Each topic area offers well-defined learning objectives, as well as the means to measure individual progress.
