Design, Synthesis and Evaluation of Chiral Phenanthroline Ligands for Use in Asymmetric Catalysis

Chiral phenanthroline derivatives are promising ligands for transition metal mediated asymmetric catalysis. In our studies, we propose a rational design of these ligands by computational methods (Gaussian 98) and an application to the silver-mediated asymmetric catalysis, for example olefin activation for nucleophile trapping.
